Paphos Adventures is an independent booking service. We are not a tour operator or a boat operator ourselves — we arrange bookings on your behalf with established, independently-operated local businesses: a jeep safari operator in Paphos, Cyprus, and a boat-hire operator at Latchi Harbour, Cyprus. The tour or the boat itself, the vehicle, the driver or harbour staff, and their insurance and licensing are the responsibility of that operator, not us.
When you message us on WhatsApp, we confirm your requirements (tour or boat, date, group size, ages of any children) and check availability with our local operator. Once confirmed, you pay a reservation fee to us online. This fee is our full charge for arranging the booking. For a jeep safari it is a fixed amount per person or per private jeep; for a boat hire it is 20% of the boat price. You then pay the remaining price directly to the operator — in cash to the driver on the day of a jeep safari, or at the harbour office when you collect a boat — and we do not collect, see, or hold this amount.
The reservation fee is shown to you before payment and confirmed in writing on WhatsApp. If you cancel more than 24 hours before your tour or boat day, the reservation fee is refunded in full. If you cancel within 24 hours, or do not show up, the reservation fee is not refunded — this mirrors the operators' own cancellation policies. Boat hire and weather: if the operator judges the sea unsafe on your day, you may move your booking to another day, or have the reservation fee refunded in full.
Your jeep safari is driven and guided by the operator's own licensed driver — no self-driving is involved, and no driving licence is required of anyone in your group. Minimum ages, child seating, luggage, and what to bring are confirmed with you before your tour date. Off-road jeep touring carries inherent risk — please follow all safety instructions given by your driver.
A self-drive boat is driven by you. The driver must be 18 or over and hold a full car driving licence (not a learner licence), shown at the harbour. The operator gives a safety briefing and a map before departure and may refuse to hand over a boat to anyone it judges unfit to drive it; the reservation fee is refunded in full in that case. The operator holds a damage excess — €350 on its smaller boats, €850 on its larger ones, as told to you when your boat is confirmed — on a physical credit or debit card or in cash, and releases it when the boat is returned undamaged. Fuel is not included in the boat price: you pay the operator for the fuel used when you return. Loss or damage to the boat or its equipment, and conduct on the water, are governed by the operator's own hire terms, which you accept at the harbour.
Paphos Adventures facilitates the booking and collects the reservation fee only. Vehicle and boat safety, maintenance, insurance, driver and staff licensing, the safety briefing, and the conduct of the tour or hire itself are the sole responsibility of the operator providing the service.
